Yael Stone, a native of Australia and a resident of New York City in 2013, portrayed Lorna Mello as the prisoner in Orange Is the New Black. Yael has a degree from NIDA. Yael despite her young age, has had the opportunity to learn from the most famous storytellers in Australia. Yael's professional career is thriving in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael found her new location with the city of New York City when the production premiered to acclaim at The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael created The Cannery with her co-founders. The Cannery is the Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery encourages writing, innovative creative initiatives, and encourages the development of young writers.
